Song of the day: Teen Top - To you

I am addicted to this song.
The dance.
The style.
Them.
Everything.

I find the dance really...idk...professional? I don't know, I love this type of dancing, except one part LOL

Anyways, enjoy!...well, if you're a kpop fan.

I bet almost all Kuwaitis watched this show 2 days ago. Well if you didn't, I'll give you a brief explanation.
Mr. Abdulla Al Muthafer(correct spelling?) moved to Japan 25 years ago to marry a a beautiful Japanese women (Miyuki aka. Ameena) where they had 3 children, Sarah, Yousef(Yuu) and Kathem(Kazem).

Mr Abdulla was discovered when the tragic tsunami occured last year, March 31st.
Now, I am really happy that they interviewed him. Knt wayed mndamja o I didn't miss any moment of it. Mr Abdulla showed the Kuwaitis the beauty of Japan, the respect, and the kindness they had. Which made me love the Japan society even more.

What I thought was ridiculous was some questions Mr. Khalid asked. And to be honest, he was kind of rude also. I don't even know how Mr.Abdulla kept his temper, but I'm glad he showed us some footages and explained how life is in Japan.

I wish I could meet them though. *keeps dreaming*

Learning Korean because of Kpop?

I have a my own book where I wrote all of the Korean alphabet, vowels, sentences and etc. When people see me practicing Korean so seriously, they would be like, " Oh it's the new " 7abba" "Kpop" "

Tbh, that kinda got me mad. It's true, and I admit, that I got so attached to the Korean culture because of the music -  I won't in any way, deny that. But, when Kpop entered my life, I got to see the beauty of the Korean language, and that also introduced me to the Korean culture. I got immersed in the culture and the beauty of the language, the amount of respect, the etiquette; everything. And that was three years ago.

I would dedicate all my nights just to learn the alphabet ( proud to say I'm almost there) I am determined to learn Korean, and I won't stop. I mean, to me, it's one of the most beautiful languages out there. And you might think I'm exaggerating, but to me, I'm not.

I would wish that I would understand what my friends are saying when they talk in Korean, when I watch something, I would like to watch it without subtitles.

I'm also learning Korean because I want to be a linguist. So, Korean won't be the only language I will be learning. It's just that, I'm more interested in Korean. I would learn Japanese but it's too hard for me at the moment due to school work whereas Korean is much easier.

Yes, I'm going to learn 3 or maybe 4 languages, inshallah.

But, I would hope that people would stop telling me that those I like those Koreans for the music only. No. I have Korean friends, and I love them but not just for their music. Their personality is as nice as anyone else. Heck, even if they weren't Korean I'd still love them.

I am not learning Korean just because of Kpop.

But I do, still love kpop.

Korean family

I have to blog about this no matter what.
I just came back from my Korean friends' house. I had such an AMAZING time.
Ok ok, lemme start at the beginning, I walked in to find house slippers in front of me. Like, Idk, it's not something big I know, but I just got happy. So yeah.
Next thing was, their mum welcomed me with a hug and a Korean snack ( yum!)
Then we kept watching Korean videos and stuff. When it was 6pm, they had dinner already.  I was like .___.
Their dad came, and then 2 uncles. I was like " okayy...."
They all called me to eat dinner and I saw the typical Korean dinner which consisted of:
- Kimchi
-Kalbi- something.. ( meat)
- White rice ( in a small bowl! I found it cute haha)
- Korean spicy fish soup ( choked on it, but it was delicious. XD)
- Fried vegetables
- Ddoekbokki ( Korean rice cake which was DELICIOUS)
I was really shy. I couldn't eat..lol. I felt like I was an outsider..wait, I am lol. But at the same time I felt so happy. Idk. And they kept trying to ask me questions, and I would try to answer them back in Korean - which surprised them LOL ( OH YOU SPEAK KOREAN)
They did love the cake I bought haha (THANK GOD.)
Haha.
Then we went to sing at the noraebang ( Korean karoake). Which was so so much fun. We sang to Korean songs for 3 hours straight LOL
I called my mum early because I thought they'd sleep early, and I didn't want to stay late because it would be rude right ?
When the driver came, they were like  " OH WHY, My mum thought you will stay until 12!"
I told them I didn't want to bother them haha.
After that, they gave me a present. Yes, a present. I was speechless LOL
I'm so keeping the bag LOL

Pocky, Lotte pie, cookies and Korean sweets ( sweet red ginseng)

I thought that was so nice of them.
Ahh, I'm just so happy.

Language schools in Kuwait

I recently read on 248am.com about opening language schools in Kuwait. i think that this would be a really good opportunity for people living in Kuwait,or even Kuwaitis (like me) to learn a desired language.

Personally, I have a passion for learning languages. Currently, I found myself being immersed and attached to Korean. I'm actually proud to say that I can read and understand a bit of the Korean writing.

What I really hope for is that foreign schools for languages would actually open here in Kuwait. I really want to learn Japamese. Korean and Mandarin...and maybe Thai.

I tried joining a course once in AUK (..I think, please correct me if I'm wrong.) but they said that I was too young, and that I had to be 15 or 16..( I was 14 at the time.) ..okay...I'm bring forgetful now. LOL.

But yeah, you get my point. Learning a second or third language would teach us new communicative skills, and also provide us with an enriching learning experience of culture and society.

Learning a new language would open many doors for you. I mean, its amazing guys. You'd be able to discover the beauty of the language as well us the culture. And I cant explain how I feel proud of myself when I actually understand a foreign language. There will come a time when I will watch Korean dramas without subtitles! kekeke.
