Movie Review: The Hunger Games

May the odds be ever in your favour.

When I saw the trailer of the movie, my jaw dropped. I just had to read the book, and so, the next day, I immediately asked my friend to give me the book, and god, it was...amazing.

And then the movie came out, 2 days after I got the book..I think. After I found out, my stomach began having a Justin Bieber concert. I had to see it.
Anyways, let's cut to the chase: The movie was amazing. Amazing amazing amazing.

Jennifer Lawrence portrayed Katniss Everdeen perfectly. She gives this mixture of innocence and fierceness.

And I loved the chemistry going on between Katniss and Peeta, and how Peeta did not have to save Katniss; but she saved him. The story wasn't the typical " weak" girl saved by a "strong" man. And that's what I loved about it.

I also loved how unique the story was. It was just..genius. I mean, who would've thought about this idea? "Twelve districts sends two children between the ages of 12 and 18 to fight in the Arena. Which is a punishment inflicted by the powerful Capital for a rebellion that happened over 70 years before."

I'll stop here. I don't want to spoil the movie for you - if you haven't seen it.

I loved both the book and the movie. If you haven't seen it, then I recommend that you do.

I'd rate this movie: 5/5
