I'm a ghost of a girl that I want to be most.

It's me againn. Yeah, woohoo.

Today's topic is about Self Confidence. LOL have you noticed how all my posts are about Self confidence and perfection shit?

I try to work on my self confidence. Walla. Bs it's not working. Shasawi ya3ni.

Yes, sometimes I feel like I'm pretty, bs am I pretty enough?

Don't think ina I'm like Ugly Betty ( She's not that ugly 9a7?) bs anyways, I just don't see it. People come and tell me that I'm beautiful, that I look like a Brazilian ( lol Zanoob), a tumblr girl, and all that stuff. Bs why don't I see it?

Lama someone says " sh7alatich!" I'm like " akeed they feel sorry for me. " " You're so pretty!'  Lair. "I love your smile." No you don't.

I just don't know what to do. And that really hurts. I may smile and laugh, bs do you see the inside? I'm torn apart.

I'm not like those " tanned, long wavy hair" girls.

I'm not fishing for compliments walla. I'm not an attention seeker.

I just wanna wake up someday feeling that I'm beautiful. And to me, that's rare.

Yes, it's a big issue to me. O madri shlon I'll fix it.

This issue makes me so sensitive. You know what? I could tell you that tears are forming right now. Oh right there, one is falling down. ( Yes, I'm crazy. Kaifi.)

I wonder when I'll have that self confidence. When I'll tell people that Yes, thank you, I am beautiful.

Laih meta ya 7e9a?

I just wanna be perfect.

It's me again. Obviously.

Soo, Ramadan is ending soon. I'm gonna miss it..

Anyways, I was supposed to get my IG results today. But some family issues came up, and mum didn't have the time to call the school. Even though I had been telling her for weeks. Guess I'll wait.

I don't feel like I did a great job. I always expect the worst...always.

Inshallah I did a good job..

Yu Ni, a Korean friend, is leaving today. Leaving Kuwait, forever.

I'm sad because like, she's really fun. Not because I love Korea or because she's Korean, it's just that she's the type of girl that would make you instantly smile.

I remember the first day I met her, she made me smile within the first 2 seconds we met.

She sent me a message on facebook. Thanking me for being so nice to her, and for being such a great friend.

She said she was very happy to meet me, and she's very glad.

And she even told me to come to Korea! She'll take me to concerts, to malls ( to stalk cute Koreans...jk..okay no really.) and stuff.

She said she'll never forget me. And tbh, I won't either. She's amazing.

I saw her mum in Ikea for the first time 2 weeks ago. She hugged me haha,

Koreans are so so polite.

So yeeah, I'm still waiting for my IG log in info...

Walla I feel like I've forgotten how to speak English. I haven't read in such a long time.

And I would change everything.

Ever felt like you're never good enough? Like, whatever you do, will never satisfy anyone..not even yourself.

That's me.

Yeah, I admit, I have a problem with myself.

I don't have confidence. No self-esteem...nothing.

Everyday, I wake up trying to be a better person. That's good right?

I try to read more to improve my grammar and English reading skills.

I try to paint and draw to improve my drawing and paint like a proffesional.

I try to exercise to get that " Victoria Secret " body.

I try to learn how to cook to impress my family and my " future " husband someday.

I take care of my skin every day just to feel good about my self.

I try my very best in school just to make my parents proud.

But sometimes, all of that is just not good enough. Never..enough.

I have a problem, I know.

And to be honest, lately, I haven't been feeling good, or y'know, good enough. Heck, I don't remember the last time I've felt good enough, beautiful, or just...worth it.

Hmm, I'm just a teenager with problems.

I don't really get the point of this blog entry haha.

Oh wells, just emptying my heart....did that make sense? blehh.

hmph. Now back to PLL.

I am baaaack!

Imbarak 3laikum ilshahar! :*

Just came back from Thailand 3 days ago. A day before Ramadan<3

Thailand was AMAZING. I travelled to Malaysia and then from Malaysia, I went to Chiangmai.

Malaysia was good . But all I saw was Saudis! SO MANY Saudis! Not saying that it's wrong but  I didn't expect to see THAT much.

Thailand was better for me<3 More Kuwaitis haha, jk, I love Thailand. I met 2 Thai friends there! and had an amazing time with my family.

My bag was the only bag that weighed over 35kg. Whoops.

I will post and review stuff I bought from Malaysia and Thailand soon!

Ramadan Kareem and don't eat too much sweets! :p

I need you, baby, I'm not a monster.

I will forever love this band♥

Soo, I'm traveling today, inshallah, to Malaysia.

I'm excited.
I'll just forget the fact that MBLAQ and BAP will be there, and in Thailand and I won't be able to see them.

3adi, Inshallah in the future. :)

I have lots of places in mind in Malaysia

I MUST visit Kinokuniya and I MUST drink Bubble tea.

This is my first time in Malaysia so we're going to Thailand b3ad, which will be my third time.

Lately, I've been wanting to grow up faster. Idk if that made
I want to visit so many places, on my own.
Not that I don't enjoy being with my parents, I can't survive without them♥

It's just that, idk, I want to try..

I'll keep on dreaming until I fulfill that dream~

Monday, June 25, 2012

Just close your eyes..

Is it bad to be a dreamer? Is it bad to fantasize and dream about your future?

I've always been a dreamer. Dreaming is what gets me through hard times. I know you're probably like, " What the hell is wrong with her?" Yeah, I think about that too.

This might seem funny to you but, I always dream that someday I'll be that one girl that everyone knows, that girl that made her parents so proud, that girl that changed something, at least one thing in her lifetime.

I dream that I'll be a linguist or, fluent in at least one foreign language.
I dream that someday, I'll save a soul.
I dream that I'll make my parents proud of me.
I dream that I'll have my dream job.
I dream that I'll have the body I want.
I dream that I'll be able to paint like famous artists.
I dream that I will be able to achieve a black belt in a type of martial art sport.

That's all I can think of right now.

I have many other dreams that are silly so I won't mention them. ;p

But yeah.

The question is, will I achieve or make one of these dreams come true?

Well, I'll try. I will. Enshallah. I must.

Hair conditioning

I've been having this weird obsession of taking care of my hair since summer started.

I don't really know why but mehh, that's good right?

My hair tends to be really dry and I've noticed that it's been falling A LOT ( that's bad at the age of 15 right? )

So anyways, I've been taking care of it (conditioning it, moisturizing it etc) for almost a month now, and I've noticed it's a lot better than before, al7emdellah.

I've been using the seaweed shampoo and conditioner from Boots ( it's only 1KD, isn't that great?!)
I also use Pantene's 12h NIGHT therapy before I go to sleep.
I love the smell, and it feels GREAAT!

When I wake up,  I moisturize my hair with The Body shop's Grape-seed glossing serum
I use The Body shop's Macadamia straightening balm when I straighten my hair ( which I rarely do)
I also try not to wash my hair a lot. Like, I usually wash my hair everyday or whenever I exercise. But now, I'd shower like, uhhh, let me explain XD, ya3ni, if I shower on Sunday, I won't shower on Monday but on Tuesday. Get it? I just wash my body everyday though.

I hope that helped you. Please take care of your hair!

I need an air bag. Before I crash into the colossal sadness that is coming my way.

I can't study because I'm feel like crap.

I had physics today, it was okay. But then again, that could be a bad sign.

Just 4 more exams..and then I'm done, for the time being..

Be yourself, they say. Yeah, like that would ever work with a society like ours.

Here's the deal, Society these days, don't give the slightest fuck about what you feel, or how you feel, or even the purity of your heart. These days, it's just about looks.

You're good looking? Wow, 5las, I wanna be friends with you.

And you know what, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to aim for a size 0. Because I feel like a whale atm. :)

And don't tell me that you care. Because you obviously don't. You're just curious. And no one, will understand how you're feeling.

I just don't know what to say right now, or what to do.

I wake up everyday with this void inside my heart. I don't know, I just feel depressed all the time these days. And no, it's not because of exams.

I try to laugh, but would that work? would that fix all of my problems?

"My life is a rainy night that pours for 365 days."

I try, I swear, walla, to have a bit of hope that someday, SOMEDAY, I'll give that honest smile. But at this moment, that hope's curve is going down.

I'm feeling empty, confused, numb, hurt, disoriented, lost, vulnerable, blurry, tired, overwhelmed, anxious.

An utter mess.

And you know what irritates me? When people choose others over you, just because she's more interesting . And again, by interesting I mean, " Ombre colored hair" " I'm half Kuwaiti!" blah blah blah.

Like that wouldn't hurt.

I need a break from this world.

Song of the day: Teen Top - To you

I am addicted to this song.
The dance.
The style.

I find the dance really...idk...professional? I don't know, I love this type of dancing, except one part LOL

Anyways, enjoy!...well, if you're a kpop fan.

어떻게 니가

2 IGCSE exams done.

2 more left.

I can't take this anymore. I need a break from school; a break from this world.

I haven't touched a single Chemistry book in those 2 days. I just finished my art exam today, and I'm glad it's over.

Why did I even take it as an early entry? That's something called legafa, my friends.

Listening to Bae Da hae makes me want to have a picnic. Idk. I'm weird like that.

My Korean friends Yuni and Taeyeon might stay until next year. I can't explain how happy I am :/
They're amazing. I love them even though they speak limited English. And Yu Ni is just so so funny.

4 weeks left until I'm off to Malaysia and Thailand inshallah. :)

I bet almost all Kuwaitis watched this show 2 days ago. Well if you didn't, I'll give you a brief explanation.
Mr. Abdulla Al Muthafer(correct spelling?) moved to Japan 25 years ago to marry a a beautiful Japanese women (Miyuki aka. Ameena) where they had 3 children, Sarah, Yousef(Yuu) and Kathem(Kazem).

Mr Abdulla was discovered when the tragic tsunami occured last year, March 31st.
Now, I am really happy that they interviewed him. Knt wayed mndamja o I didn't miss any moment of it. Mr Abdulla showed the Kuwaitis the beauty of Japan, the respect, and the kindness they had. Which made me love the Japan society even more.

What I thought was ridiculous was some questions Mr. Khalid asked. And to be honest, he was kind of rude also. I don't even know how Mr.Abdulla kept his temper, but I'm glad he showed us some footages and explained how life is in Japan.

I wish I could meet them though. *keeps dreaming*

Learning Korean because of Kpop?

I have a my own book where I wrote all of the Korean alphabet, vowels, sentences and etc. When people see me practicing Korean so seriously, they would be like, " Oh it's the new " 7abba" "Kpop" "

Tbh, that kinda got me mad. It's true, and I admit, that I got so attached to the Korean culture because of the music -  I won't in any way, deny that. But, when Kpop entered my life, I got to see the beauty of the Korean language, and that also introduced me to the Korean culture. I got immersed in the culture and the beauty of the language, the amount of respect, the etiquette; everything. And that was three years ago.

I would dedicate all my nights just to learn the alphabet ( proud to say I'm almost there) I am determined to learn Korean, and I won't stop. I mean, to me, it's one of the most beautiful languages out there. And you might think I'm exaggerating, but to me, I'm not.

I would wish that I would understand what my friends are saying when they talk in Korean, when I watch something, I would like to watch it without subtitles.

I'm also learning Korean because I want to be a linguist. So, Korean won't be the only language I will be learning. It's just that, I'm more interested in Korean. I would learn Japanese but it's too hard for me at the moment due to school work whereas Korean is much easier.

Yes, I'm going to learn 3 or maybe 4 languages, inshallah.

But, I would hope that people would stop telling me that those I like those Koreans for the music only. No. I have Korean friends, and I love them but not just for their music. Their personality is as nice as anyone else. Heck, even if they weren't Korean I'd still love them.

I am not learning Korean just because of Kpop.

But I do, still love kpop.

First Korean band to come to the Middle East.

Korean boyband  ZE:A came to Dubai and are heading to Abu Dhabi tomorrow.
When I first heard about ZE:A coming to the Middle East, I kinda freaked out. I didn't really know the band - or even knew a lot of songs. I just...I don't know; I just wanted to go.
I couldn't stand seeing all of those Emarati girls tweeting about how awesome they looked and how cute they were - even though I'm kinda glad they're having fun.
But I swear, I'm still dying of jealousy right now. Ya3ni they had to come before the exams, and when I have school.

Just FML.
I wanted to see their perfect hair and tone...mbah.
My maid came to comfort me about them, saying that " I'll be able to see them because she knows I'll go to Korea sometime". Like that would make me feel better. Well, it kinda did actually.

I guess I'll just spend my life watching them virtually ( yeah? correct word?) with chocolate at my disposal. I'll live with 77 cats and master the skill of knitting.

Nah, kidding..I hope.

I can't study; I can't sleep.

I won't rest until a Korean band comes to Kuwait. He2.

Yes, you can call me obsessed.

My IGCSE exams start a week from now.

I'm so scared. I can imagine how hard the exams will be. I'm taking 4 early entry subjects which will come from Cambridge university in England. So the exam will be external, and it's extended.
I regret taking some subjects. Like physics - I'm not doing that though, Physics will be an internal exam ( from the school)
What I'm really scared about is the English, ICT, Biology and Chemistry. I'm taking all of those exams that have count up to 6 hours..I think each. If I fail, I'll have to do the exam again in November. Oh and It's extended ( harder than core)
I kind of regret taking English. I mean, I got a B in my mock exam, but I don't feel like I have strong vocabulary for first Language.
Ugh, just help me.
I might not post that much during those 2 months. *pretends I have followers*

Korean family

I have to blog about this no matter what.
I just came back from my Korean friends' house. I had such an AMAZING time.
Ok ok, lemme start at the beginning, I walked in to find house slippers in front of me. Like, Idk, it's not something big I know, but I just got happy. So yeah.
Next thing was, their mum welcomed me with a hug and a Korean snack ( yum!)
Then we kept watching Korean videos and stuff. When it was 6pm, they had dinner already.  I was like .___.
Their dad came, and then 2 uncles. I was like " okayy...."
They all called me to eat dinner and I saw the typical Korean dinner which consisted of:
- Kimchi
-Kalbi- something.. ( meat)
- White rice ( in a small bowl! I found it cute haha)
- Korean spicy fish soup ( choked on it, but it was delicious. XD)
- Fried vegetables
- Ddoekbokki ( Korean rice cake which was DELICIOUS)
I was really shy. I couldn't I felt like I was an outsider..wait, I am lol. But at the same time I felt so happy. Idk. And they kept trying to ask me questions, and I would try to answer them back in Korean - which surprised them LOL ( OH YOU SPEAK KOREAN)
They did love the cake I bought haha (THANK GOD.)
Then we went to sing at the noraebang ( Korean karoake). Which was so so much fun. We sang to Korean songs for 3 hours straight LOL
I called my mum early because I thought they'd sleep early, and I didn't want to stay late because it would be rude right ?
When the driver came, they were like  " OH WHY, My mum thought you will stay until 12!"
I told them I didn't want to bother them haha.
After that, they gave me a present. Yes, a present. I was speechless LOL
I'm so keeping the bag LOL

Pocky, Lotte pie, cookies and Korean sweets ( sweet red ginseng)

I thought that was so nice of them.
Ahh, I'm just so happy.

Beauty Tip: Drink a lot of Water.

Does drinking water improve your skin condition?
Answer: Yes.

Ever since I turned 13, my skin turned upside down. I went from this clear skinned girl into this oily-skinned acne girl.
What I did was put all of those chemicals on my face even though I was just 13, and what I didn't know is that I actually made it worse. I used to surf the internet desperate for natural remedies and how to get rid of acne. I tried everything, literally everything. From Michelle Phan to Bubzbeauty and loads of other beauty gurus.
But then I found this really simple beauty tip: drinking lots of water.
I was like," Wait what? What does water have to do with our skin?"
Water is actually important for your body, obviously. 70% of your body is made up of water.
Water is important in so many different ways like:
- Weight-loss; water is a great appetite suppressant.
-Water flushes out toxins and impurities - which makes your skin clearer and younger looking.
- You can get a healthy glow from drinking water. It moisturizes your skin inside out.

I know it won't happen overnight, but trust me, drink about 8 bottles a day. You'll see the difference soon. I'm not a dermatologist. But this is the best beauty tip I've ever found.
Carry water everywhere with you. Substitute it with soda.
Instead of spending loads of money on products - that might even do nothing to your face, Use water. It's cheap and very effective.

Harry Potter

I must say, Harry Potter changed my life - and I'm not even kidding.
If I haven't read Harry Potter, I wouldn't have been in a 1st Set in English class. ( I do admit though, my vocabulary isn't that great.)
A friend suggested I read Harry Potter to improve my English vocabulary. I didn't really read the books  - but I did watch the movies.
If people really gave Harry Potter a chance, they'd see how amazing it is. Harry Potter lets us escape into this whole new world filled with spells & magic. I admit that I did wish that I'd get my acceptance letter someday..even now. Bleh. My owl got lost I guess. Harry Potter gives you hope and encourages you not to be afraid to let your imagination go wild.
I thought I'd never touch a book in my life. But then Harry Potter changed everything. As soon as I finished the first book,  I was eager to start the other. I would stay to read 2 hours - or even more in 1 day. I got to the limit when even my mum, my mum who always encouraged me to read, to tell me to stop reading. That's when I got into the habit of reading. I began taking interest in other books, and then became an avid reader. And I swear, I don't regret that day I picked up the book. Reading was a chore for me. But now, it's part of my life.
If you have not read Harry Potter, I suggest you get dressed up now...if you're not busy. And go get the first book. If you've watched the movie, and it was amazing, then the book can't be defined.

Read Harry Potter, and find your inner wizard.

I'd rate Harry Potter: 100/100.

Song of the day: Maribelle Añes - I got you

Maribelle Añes. One word can describe her: amazing.
Her voice is omg. And she's beautiful D:
Yeah..enjoy ;d

Arab's got Talent 2

To be honest, I'm not really an avid fan of this show, I mean, I find it okay. But since last year, when they announced that ridiculous competitor who only said pathetic - and I mean really pathetic and silly jokes, as a winner.
Anyways, I watched the first episode yesterday hoping to see some talents. Yeah..that girl singing Korean....*face palm*, I did watch the Kuwaiti dance group, and I was impressed. But then the show got boring with all the silly auditions.
Towards the end though, I was stunned by the voice of this girl:

Her voice is amazing. And, I really think she has a strong chance in this show. Her voice is unique, and she just gained a fan!

Song of the day: One direction - One Thing

I love this song. Stuck on repeat LOL. *closes room door*
If you like this band, who's your favorite member?
Mine: Zayn Malik!

This place is heaven.

I knew about this store, but what I didn't know that they had one in Dubai. My eyes caught it when we were leaving the mall. And I HAD to go. I told my dad, and my mum got kinda angry because she was tired and bleh. So my dad was like, 5 minutes Hessa.
When I got into the store, 5 minutes seemed like a nanosecond to me. The place was GINORMOUS. Kinokuniya is the biggest bookstore I have ever seen. And it's beyond amazing. I just can't define how amazing it is. The place was so organized and I got goosebumps while I was in there. So I was looking around all happy and thrilled when I saw one thing that made my heart stop: Manga.  My eyes went immediately like this : O_O
I just couldn't think. My dad was like " Hurry up Hessa", so I just snatched 2 of my favorite mangas EVER. I didn't even care what volumes they were. Vampire Knight and Shugo Chara ( First manga I've ever read, and anime I've ever watched!). Then I snatched other reading books and the rest of the " House of Night " novel that I didn't read..yet.
I couldn't take pictures inside because it wasn't allowed, which I don't understand why really. But you can check out some photos from ZDistrict.

Vampire Knight, Shugo Chara, Interview with the Vampire, House of Night: Destined and Awakened, and A Song at Suns
Those were the only books I bought..I know, I'm crazy for doing that. I was in a hurry and I just..couldn't think. I totally regret it. Oh, and you can probably tell that I'm addicted to Vampires LOL.

I wish Kuwait would open Kinokuniya here. I mean, I'm 100% it'll be a hit here. It's just beyond amazing, and I'm sure many people will love it. I know about Jareer and the other bookstore in the Avenues  (forgot the name), they're great and all..but....KINOKUNIYA. ITS AMAZING.  I'd even sleep there if I can!

I hope Kinokuniya would really open in Kuwait soon, it doesn't even have to be soon. Even if it's after 5 years, I'll still be happy.

The first store I'm going to during my trip to Dubai mall next time, would be Kinokuniya. Of course, obviously, duh. Okay, I'll shut up now.

Language schools in Kuwait

I recently read on about opening language schools in Kuwait. i think that this would be a really good opportunity for people living in Kuwait,or even Kuwaitis (like me) to learn a desired language.

Personally, I have a passion for learning languages. Currently, I found myself being immersed and attached to Korean. I'm actually proud to say that I can read and understand a bit of the Korean writing.

What I really hope for is that foreign schools for languages would actually open here in Kuwait. I really want to learn Japamese. Korean and Mandarin...and maybe Thai.

I tried joining a course once in AUK (..I think, please correct me if I'm wrong.) but they said that I was too young, and that I had to be 15 or 16..( I was 14 at the time.) ..okay...I'm bring forgetful now. LOL.

But yeah, you get my point. Learning a second or third language would teach us new communicative skills, and also provide us with an enriching learning experience of culture and society.

Learning a new language would open many doors for you. I mean, its amazing guys. You'd be able to discover the beauty of the language as well us the culture. And I cant explain how I feel proud of myself when I actually understand a foreign language. There will come a time when I will watch Korean dramas without subtitles! kekeke.

Song of the day: Infinite - Can U smile

One of my favorite songs ever.

Yes, it's Korean. Many people wonder why I listen to foreign music even if I don't understand it. Well, I can't really answer that. But what I do know is that the music is different than others. I mean, read the lyrics of this song, and then compare it to Nicki Minaj's " Stupid Hoe" you get my point? LOL I hope so.

I feel like this song is very soothing, and it makes their voices shine vocally. I've listened to this song countless of times.

Movie Review: The Hunger Games

May the odds be ever in your favour.

When I saw the trailer of the movie, my jaw dropped. I just had to read the book, and so, the next day, I immediately asked my friend to give me the book, and god, it was...amazing.

And then the movie came out, 2 days after I got the book..I think. After I found out, my stomach began having a Justin Bieber concert. I had to see it.
Anyways, let's cut to the chase: The movie was amazing. Amazing amazing amazing.

Jennifer Lawrence portrayed Katniss Everdeen perfectly. She gives this mixture of innocence and fierceness.

And I loved the chemistry going on between Katniss and Peeta, and how Peeta did not have to save Katniss; but she saved him. The story wasn't the typical " weak" girl saved by a "strong" man. And that's what I loved about it.

I also loved how unique the story was. It was just..genius. I mean, who would've thought about this idea? "Twelve districts sends two children between the ages of 12 and 18 to fight in the Arena. Which is a punishment inflicted by the powerful Capital for a rebellion that happened over 70 years before."

I'll stop here. I don't want to spoil the movie for you - if you haven't seen it.

I loved both the book and the movie. If you haven't seen it, then I recommend that you do.

I'd rate this movie: 5/5
